Q: Where can I get information about former schools in Massillon?

A: Several local authors have written books that include information about the Massillon school system over the years. Available at the Massillon Public Library are:

Q: I am a graduate of Washington High. How can I get my high school transcripts?

A: Call the high school at 330-830-3901 and ask for Nancy Budner. She will find your transcripts from the year you graduated and make you a copy. The cost is $2.

Q: Is there a way for parents to go online to see their children's grades?

A: Information about Pinnacle, the online grade access for parents of students in middle school and high school, was mailed to residential/custodial parents on Sept. 5. Those who may not have received the information can call their child's school guidance office for assistance.

Q: What is the minimum age for taking the ACT?

A: There is no age or grade requirement for taking the ACT, nor is there a limit on the number of times you can take this college entrance exam. There is, however, a fee each time you take the test.

What is the maximum age at which a student can graduate?

Students may remain in a public high school up to age 22. After that, adult education programs are available.

What determines whether school is cancelled?


Classes are delayed or cancelled because of weather based on a number of factors, including temperature, wind chill factor and road conditions. Please listen to local radio and television stations for school cancellation notices.
